You have been tattooing about 8 years, at what age did you first start thinking you wanted to be a tattoo artist and how early on did you realize the importance of tattoos to people? My introduction into tattooing came at the loss of a dear friend when I was about 15 years old. I got the idea to get a tattoo in her memory as a way to try and cope with it. I went to a local tattooer and fell in love the second I walked in the door. I had always been attracted to art but never was exposed to tattooing as a form of it. I got the tattoo and it was at that time I realized one of the many powers tattooing has. It gave me a way to always keep her with me! Later that grew into self expression, and just a love for having artwork on my body. My goal as a tattooer is to recreate that euphoria for others and hope that regardless the reason behind them being tattooed, it ends with them being happy. Would you consider yourself primarily a black and grey artist? When I look through your work there are plenty of black and grey tattoos and all of a sudden a pretty slammin color one pops up? Why aren’t you doing more color? 77
