rently that are killing it to be the most inspiring. Do you paint in your spare time? And what do you do for fun? I watercolor paint. I’m really busy, I keep busy tattooing so I don’t get to paint as often as I would like but I do enjoy watercolor painting. I took a really basic watercolor painting seminar from Mike Chambers many years ago in St. Lewis and it was amazing and it was really inspiring. He’s so great, he definitely made me want to paint and he made it look easy. So, I took the seminar from him. I had a couple of other tattooers kind of show me how they liked to watercolor paint. When I can, I will paint but I don’t get to do it as often as I like but I do think that learning how to watercolor paint helped my tattooing. I feel like it made me a better tattooer and it also made me feel more in touch with tattooers from several generations ago that would paint flash and all of that. I feel like when you do a watercolor painting you’re kind of in a way making an amass of tattooers from decades ago that painted all the time. Any projects that you need to talk about? As far as projects go, I’m about to go to Europe in a couple of weeks for Evian, which is an amazing show and I’ve wanted to work that for years and finally we’ve got a chance to work it. We do have the Philadelphia show every year. I’ve been talking to my publicist and have been working my schedule out as far as what I’m doing and when. We’re supposed to be hashing that out more when I come back from Europe. I do have a couple of projects concerning books and other merch in the works right now with my publicist, but it’s super early into it so I don’t want to put it out there just yet since it’s so early. I’m always selling prints and stickers and stuff like that online. Staying in tune online with my Instagram is the best way to keep up with what’s going on. I think we got it. Thank you and we’ll talk to you again. Cool, thank you very much! http://www.katietattoo.com 39
