people were shocked about female tattooers. I think that it’s a little high drama, obviously, but the more female tattooers that are put out there on the network, national or international tv level and especially talented female tattooers it’s great for all of us. We all benefit from it and all females benefit from it for sure. It’s a good thing definitely. What artists inspire you? Of course my coworkers, they’re all really talented. I happen to work in a really great shop where everyone there is killing it and we all kind of do our own thing so we all are inspiring to each other. I’m lucky for that. Aside from that, I would say that there’s a lot of female tattooers that are inspiring to me. Most of the time when I’m looking up references for tattoos, I’m looking at other female tattooers. I really like Rose Hardy, I love her stuff. There’s a female tattooer named Savannah Colleen that’s at Ink and Dagger. Emily Rose Murray, she’s one of my favorite female tattooers. Annie Frenzel was doing amazing things like several years ago. She was definitely a neo traditional pioneer for sure. Shanghai Kate is inspiring to me. I love that she will still tattoo folks and she’s still making a living off doing tattoos on people, that’s cool.
