Probably around 7-8 years old. My dad inspired me to draw, his natural talent for the figurative made me all giddy inside. Once I figured out I could draw, Man, I ran around the house in hysterical happiness. (laughs) This is way better then sex. Well, it depends who you’re doing it with. (laughs) What did you go through to make the transition to people seeing your work and start selling it, and getting to the point where you could make a living at it? It’s such a deep personal journey. Locking yourself in the studio for hours and hours with a blind but still all knowing that if I work hard I’ll succeed. One story that’ll always stick with me was: I studied graphic design for a while and we had to re-design an album cover… I chose The Flaming Lips. I went deep into myself and came up with an Illustration that I really connected with. Its was truly mine. Unadulterated. This sparked something in me. “I can do this” and “I can go places” I thought. Then it was head down, work, work, work. I’ve seen your work hanging at the Four Seasons, where else might people see you work and in how many countries? At this point, NYC, Germany, Spain, Sydney.
