M: (laughs) yea, well you
didn’t understand from my
perspective. The first 5
years of my career I had
to only put my work up so
that when I actually made it
somewhere people took me
seriously so the male artists
that I worked with only knew
me for my work and not my
selfies. (laughs) I was gonna
say that it’s fine, but he just
irritated
the fuck out of me (smiling)
and I’d say it’s the same
thing as it is in any part of
society because men are..
C: Awesome
M: Annoying (laughs) Can
I just say one thing here?
If there’s a lack of respect,
women have to just be responsible for it for ourselves.
If you’re doing good work,
you’re doing good work, if
you’re dressing cute and
doing shitty work of course
you’re not gonna be respected. By being responsible for
what you’re putting out is
the best way to improve any
respect issues.
