Do you get to paint as much as you would like to?
I have done a lot of painting in the past but I prefer markers these days. I
am always drawing and sketching something. I just finished a book of English Rose designs that is available through Illustrated Monthly. Its 40 pages
of designs, black and gray and color. I’m really excited about it because I’m
a bit obsessed with English Roses so it feels good to turn that into something tangible.
Would you do a show like Ink Masters?
No. Mainly because I don’t want to be on TV but also because the show is
not about artistry. Its about pitting people against each other and wearing
them down. No thanks.
Are there any type of tattoos that you find more tedious or
difficult or just don’t like doing?
When I was a kid all I drew was portraits and when I first got into tattooing
I wanted to be a portrait artist.These days portraits don’t interest me at all
and the subjects I like to tattoo are things that I am obsessed with. I collect taxidermy, skulls and love having plants and flowers around me which
