So you’ve been tattooing 18 years. How many in a shop? About 15 years. I tattooed in a lot of places like Pittsburgh, Miami, Atlanta, Columbia, I like to travel. How long have you had your Shop in NY? I spent some time when I first got to New York doing house calls to get the money to open my shop. Funny thing about that is people frown on that but if you’re famous it’s fine. I had a lot of years under my belt and I always kept perfectly clean working conditions so I had select clients I would do house calls for until I could open my own shop 4 years ago. What was the difference between tattooing in Miami and NY? I feel like the people in Florida respect tattooing a little more because in NY everybody is looking for that deal. Everybody wants the hookup but in Miami everyone wants to be a baller so they put up the money for a good artist. And Columbia? Awesome place I love it there. There’s a huge price difference because they are going by Pesos so you have to make the adjustment. But I was in a smaller growing city and there on the come up so it’s gonna be like NYC soon with everyone wanting tattoos. Do you think artists from other countries are a little more creative than in the United States? 183
