you to feel like you’re in our family now. P: Everybody does jive differently. We know people who they don’t feel comfortable where they’re at and decide to come to us. We just try to be as approachable and make people feel as comfortable as we possibly can. It’s just one of those things; you just try to do the best in everything that you do. C: We are passionate about it. It’s such a cool and fun industry; which makes it easy to be passionate about it. It changes all the time. It’s an infantile market where sort of whatever we want to do we can try it. There aren’t a whole heck of a lot of rules. So I think the fact that we have fun all the time shows through. I’ve only been to the Philly shop but it reflects that vibe as soon as you walk in, before anyone even says anything. The atmosphere of the shop conveys that feeling. C: Awesome! That’s exactly what we want. I know you guys have done this on countless people. Have there been different clients that for any reason stood out to you? P: Our INK Program (the acronym means – I Now Know) clients really do have a special place in what we do because you see the biggest change but not just physically. You see the biggest emotional change when somebody is free of the tattoos that may remind them constantly of another space in time. They’re the ones that are like “Oh my God, now I can get this job,” Or I’m accepted in housing that I really wanted.” They can actually move on with their lives. We have a lot of good results on our normal clients and they’re really happy with what we do. For us I think the biggest part of what we do and are passionate about gets to be displayed in the INK Program. Where did the concept come from for the Inked Program? P: When we first started with tattoo removal we kind of said to ourselves “What’s the best way as a company that we can give back to our community?” “What is our favorite part of our job or where do we find the most passion in what we do?” The answer is simple: Really, it’s about helping people and helping a personal transformation become a reality C: How many people can give back to their communities by removing tattoos? That’s kind of a unique something for us to be able to give back. 173
