You can’t just jump into something and think that people are going to accept you when they did all the groundwork for it. The guys that he’s referring to, did their hard work and worked together to build t hat circle so no outsiders can come into their shit. They started that, that their thing. So that means you have to start your own thing. So you can do the same thing they do or you can open it up to other people like yourself or who have common interests. Everybody was like go to tattoo conventions; why not start your own conventions? You know when you get there; they’re not going to support you. Things are better than they were. Before “Color Outside the Lines” came out it was harder. Once the film came out and a lot of people saw it. It changed the culture. So you have more artists now getting into it. Imagine if black and Hispanic people took their money out of the industry and started their own industry. Imagine what that would look like.
