Do you venture out
of it?
I have. When I first
started tattooing I
was doing more tra-
ditional stuff because
that’s what people
wanted. It was hard
breaking into real-
ism. There wasn’t a
big following. There
wasn’t a big call for
it. There was only a
few people out there
doing it and that in-
spired me to get into
it. But yeah, it was
hard to find people to
do it on. I was work-
ing in a street shop
so that’s all there was
back then.
You have a really good bunch of artists in your shop. There’s no seat fill-
ers. You have a really good eye for good artists and beyond that, really
good people.
I appreciate that and everyone always tells me that. I think it’s because of
the person I am. I like to surround myself with people who are truly good
genuine people. They’re in it for the art they love and I saw something
in everyone who works here and that’s why I asked them to come and
