In all the press releases and bios I keep seeing how the diverse cultures
influence the band. What’s the deal with that and how much does it
play into the music?
A lot! Wally has a Filipino background. Filipino and Chinese. His musical
taste is jazz and reggae. Metal is the background of everybody though.
I’m more Nina Simone but grew up listening to Arabic music. I was born in
Dubai and raised in the middle east and immigrated here when I was 17
which is a long time ago.
I’m Arab and Italian, a big mutt like that. Kadava is French Canadian, and
the you have the 90s rock that Kadava and I bring in, and then we have
Bedwetter, Weka, we call him Bedwetter because he’s the baby in the
band (Laughs). Believe it or not, he’s like the a name, a very well name
hired gun in the Middle East. He’s like the guy who all the bigshots go to
when they have to tour across the Middle East. When he shows up here
he’s like “I don’t want to play that, I wanna rock out” He just rips! The end
