the Shrimpboat Sound Studio logo . It ’ s his cool little recording studio in the middle of Key West and all of the tourists are walking around there ’ s a super badass undercover recording studio with no sign on the door . On the inside of the door I designed it . A lot of country people go there . Once in awhile they give me a hat and I ’ m like “ wow , you ’ re still using my logo ” It ’ s great ! That ’ s where I credit the whole style that I do . Before that I wasn ’ t really much of a Jimmy Buffett fan and when I was in high school I used to go to the parties in the parking lot and the people were fun to party with but I liked reggae , I liked the Grateful Dead at the time so I was all about parking lot parties . I didn ’ t understand this country fusion reggae crossover thing and when I worked for him I had to draw a lot of stuff like parrots drinking Coronas , and lizards and that kind of stuff so I forced myself to be more passionate about it and listen to the lyrics so I could understand what I ’ m drawing and before you know it I connected with it and it ’ s the soundtrack for almost all of my art at this point . So working for Buffett was really what catapulted my tropical style . He ’ s a great business model , an inspiration whether you like his music or not .
