A Hall For Every Occasion

To set the tone for an extraordinary year , we held a dazzling celebration to kick off 2023 in a major way . The BSO hosted a New Year ’ s Eve event with festive pre- and post-concert experiences . To start the night , our friends and collaborative partners Revival Hotel returned to the Meyerhoff bringing another “ Lit Lobby ” experience that preceded the second Fusion concert of the season , From Beethoven to Beyoncé . Conductor Steve Hackman took the sold-out crowd on a sonic journey reminiscent of today ’ s music festivals . The blend of contemporary artists like Lady Gaga , Adele , John Mayer , and of course Beyoncé , with iconic classical composers like Beethoven , Brahms , Bach , and Wagner made for an unforgettable experience . After the concert , the ever-popular , Baltimore staple The Night Brunch took over the lobby ! The highly attended , first-of-its-kind BSO program welcomed new audiences and familiar ones alike , actualizing our vision of a “ Hall for All ”. With food , dancing , a champagne toast , and a balloon drop , it ’ s safe to say , the BSO New Year ’ s Eve celebration was a wonderful success !
