#JESUSFORPRESIDENT
As the campaign rages on, and the time is getting near;
Many look around with wonder, shock, and fear.
What will happen to our country, this mighty nation?
For whom should we cast our vote and give our approbation?
Only One is worthy of our admiration;
His name is Jesus, and He calls us to see His inauguration.
At the cross we see His love, in its greatest demonstration;
And in Heaven we will join in eternal celebration.
Jesus came to die and save us all,
And so He asks, “Have you heard My call?”
Has this world disappointed you and is your spirit broken?
Jesus knocks at the door of your heart, so will you open?
Jesus tells us now:
“Cease from earthly worries, debate, and strife;
Come to Me and drink that you may have eternal life.
Hear My word and put not your trust in man;
Trust in Me who knew you before time began.”
So, Jesus, come into our hearts, transform our nature;
Open our eyes to discern imminent danger.
Turn our lives toward our Creator,
Who is standing as our High Priest and Mediator.
Will you give Jesus your soul’s charge?
For into your heart, He will never barge.
Jesus, we want YOU to be our President and King;
Make us a channel of living water, an ever-flowing spring!
