A.M.E. There is a real sense of faith and friendships and
community there.”
The inspiration for this interesting house came from a
variety of sources. The Craigs are research oriented and looked
and studied homes, architecture and furnishings so that when
it came time to design this home, Todd O’Dell had a picture
in his mind that was similar to what the Craigs shared.
The magnificent angled stairwell is the focal point of
the lower level and the foyer. It immediately beckons you
up to the second level of the home. The use of steel and
glass is both cutting edge and contemporary. However, the
warmth of the stone flooring in a curved pattern in the foyer
anchors the modern effect. This space alone captures your
eye in every direction with striking features. Shirley is quick
to take you over to a window to see a small negative edge
pool designed to reflect light and water for this entranceway,
especially at night.
The downstairs is a haven for visitors, guests and family.
It includes two beautifully decorated bedrooms and an ultra
modern media room with a comfortable leather sectional
that takes advantage of both the ocean view and the high-
tech multi media equipment.
As one begins to ascend the staircase the architectural
details can not be missed.
The unique lines of this archi-
tectural masterpiece create a
unique look no matter where
you stand in the home, from
the living room (top left) to the
media room (top right), to the
bar area (above).
