I walked around and asked some questions to neighbours in the Elgagass , but also walked to the schools , the municipality and to the church to ask some other inhabitants and visitors . The conclusion of my interviews was that the elder generation had a strong connection to the historical and traditional buildings , but they said that they could not stop the demolition of the buildings . They also said that money is the reason for the destruction of the historic village centres . Younger generations , however , did not even know the existence of these buildings around the corner , even if they were passing by them . I had also the opportunity to talk with the guide of the castle , who is also working in the municipality . He had the opinion that people have many fascinating ideas , but that the government do not have any kind of interest . This conclusion is one of the main points in my project , I wanted to consider .
