ANNOUNCING…
We are excited to introduce a new member of
the Kids R Kids family, Mrs. Tram Dominguez!
Please read a message from Ms Tram. “I am a
proud Longhorn. I graduated with a bachelors’
in Communications from UT. I have always
wanted to tell stories about people who didn’t
necessarily have a voice. I naturally transitioned
into teaching because I felt as though children
were oftentimes misunderstood. They are just
little people trying to process life and socialize
with others, and that can be very difficult. I offer
them words and encourage independence. I
also translate their age-appropriate behaviors to
others—sometimes we just need a hug or space.
Austin was my home for most of my career
before heading a little east to Katy. After a
decade of teaching, I’m ecstatic to be here
at Kids ‘R’ Kids Learning Academy, as the
Curriculum Coordinator. I’ve taught early
childhood through young adults. I believe
that everyone needs lots of love and help with
communicating their needs appropriately. I love
to bring in musical and hands-on components
into the lesson plan, while of course, setting
boundaries and building confidence in little
learners. It absolutely takes a village to nurture
and guide little ones, and it is my privilege to
help and support this cause in any way. “
“Dig Deeper” is a daily program that
encourages hands-on exploration.
It’s an extension of the weekly lesson
plans and encourages our learners to
brainstorm and work together. It’s also
organized for small groups, so that
each child gets ample time to discover
and create. Ms. Tram will facilitate
the educators in each small group
interaction for each child’s benefit.
Activities include producing suitcases
out of cardboard and packing for a
big trip, figuring out how dried corn
kernels turn into delicious popcorn,
and creating a life-size canoe using
recycled pieces found in our classrooms.
This program encourages community,
while encouraging creativity and earthfriendly
practices. Let’s explore together.
