the new compilation depicts the sounds of nature
2050 has brought a series of innovations in the music industry: the sounds of nature on a digital scale. For
years now we have become accustomed to listening to only metallic and electronic sounds; since we wake
up in the morning until late at night we are surrounded by waves of unnatural sounds: notifications of
messages or emails, the roar of electric cars, the vibrations of electric guitar strings, the mechanisms of the
factories, the sound of hairdryers and household appliances. So the authors, who are artists from an
Italian cosy town, Sant’Agata de Goti, have thought about all this mess and have produced a disk made of
natural sounds: the sound of sea waves, the rustling of the wind and the moving trees that make their
leaves fall, the silence of the falling snow. Their purpose is leading back to what was previously
fundamental, just like the sounds of nature, when these sounds had not been replaced by electrical noises,
when nature was still in harmony with man, when they could admire landscapes that caused emotions
from all five senses.
