493 temperature control switches of the air conditioning system.
lEach function can also be adjusted to the desired setting.
n“ MAX cool”( if equipped)
lThe“ MAX cool” switch cannot be used to turn the setting off.
lAfter the“ MAX cool” switch has
been operated, the temperature setting can be adjusted using the
temperature control switches of the air conditioning system.
lEach function can also be adjusted to the desired setting.
n Operation of the air conditioning system in the Eco drive
mode
lIn the Eco drive mode, the air conditioning system is controlled as
follows to prioritize electricity consumption efficiency.
• Heating / cooling capacity is restricted
• Fan speed restricted when automatic mode is selected
lTo improve air conditioning performance, perform the following
operations:
• Adjust the fan speed
• Adjust the temperature setting
• Turn off Eco drive mode( P. 466)
lWhen the driving mode is set to
Eco drive mode, the air conditioning system may automatically
change to Eco mode. To cancel eco mode, select“ Eco heat / cool”
When the driving mode is set to Eco drive mode, the air conditioning system may automatically change to
Eco mode. To cancel eco mode, select“ Eco Heat / Cool”
n Ventilation and air conditioning odors
lTo let fresh air in, set the air conditioning system to the outside air mode.
lDuring use, various odors from inside and outside the vehicle may enter into and accumulate in the air conditioning system. This may then cause odor to be emitted from the vents.
lTo reduce potential odors from occurring:
• It is recommended that the air conditioning system be set to outside air mode prior to turning the
vehicle off.
• The start timing of the blower may
be delayed for a short period of
time immediately after the air conditioning system is started in automatic mode.
lWhen parking, the system automatically switches to outside air
mode to encourage better air circulation throughout the vehicle,
helping to reduce odors that occur when starting the vehicle.
