Standard Methods for Cyanobacteria and Their Metabolites: Practical Applications in Source Water
8:00 a. m.– 5:00 p. m. Location: Room 102 / 103
Standardized methods for monitoring cyanobacteria and their toxins are essential for early detection and water quality protection. This workshop introduces updated tools, including microscopy and qPCR, and teaches participants how to apply these methods to effectively assess and manage harmful algal blooms.
PCW02
Using Adenosine Triphosphate( ATP) to Monitor Microbial Regrowth & Biological Stability in the Drinking Water Distribution System
8:00 a. m.– Noon Location: Room 105 / 106
Chemical testing has significantly evolved allowing drinking water utilities to perform online continuous monitoring. In comparison, microbiological testing has lagged behind. Recently, ATP testing has emerged as the preferred tool for fast and efficient online monitoring of microbial water quality changes in the DWDS. Join us to better understand how to use this tool effectively.
PCW03 Beyond the Excel Grid: Leveling up Your Data Analysis
8:00 a. m.– 5:00 p. m. Location: Room 114 / 115
Modern data tools allow us to effectively apply a range of analytical techniques, from foundational data wrangling to complex machine learning, allowing water professionals to get more value and insight from their data. This workshop offers a survey of modern data tools and what they enable, with hands-on practice for analyzing water data using both code-based and no-code approaches. www. awwa. org 11
