This camp is the ultimate playground for kids who dream of altering and enhancing their Minecraft worlds. Ninjas will transform Minecraft Java Edition into a personalized adventure by harnessing the power of MCreator to craft their own incredible mods. They’ ll create custom elements like ore, blocks, ingot, crafting recipes, weapons, armor, potions, custom biomes... the list goes on. And yes, it even includes nuclear TNT! Ninjas will also get hands-on experience with Blockbench and learn how to code procedures in MCreator with block language. Time to turn those modding visions into reality!

Coding Carnival Tycoon

Step right up to the Coder Carnival where Ninjas harness the power of micro: bit microcontrollers and Makey Makey circuit boards to design interactive games that come to life with electronics, sensors, and sounds. Throughout the week, Ninjas will dive deep into coding and game design, building skills and confidence as they prepare for the grand finale. Camp culminates in a spectacular Carnival, where campers showcase their imaginative creations to family and friends.

Digital Video Studio

Lights, Camera, Edit! Unleash your child’ s inner filmmaker as they become a digital director and enter the world of video editing! Throughout the week, campers will use OBS and CapCut to work on creative projects teaching them to record and edit their own videos. They’ ll craft engaging game commentary, produce a dynamic 30-second commercial, and deliver a compelling green screen news report. Along the way, kids will learn essential video editing skills such as trimming clips, setting key frames, and adding transitions to bring their visions to life. The grand finale is the capstone project, where each camper creates a video showcasing the skills and techniques they’ ve mastered for our Code Ninjas Film Festival. That’ s a wrap!

Robotics with Cutebots

Campers will dive into an exhilarating journey where coding meets robotics, using the powerful micro: bit and the dynamic CuteBot! Ninjas will bring their robotic cars( the Cutebots!) to life with the user-friendly MakeCode micro: bit editor. From programming CuteBot’ s movements to mastering speed control, obstacle avoidance, and line tracking, each session is packed with excitement and discovery. The grand finale will be a showcase of each camper’ s ingenuity as they present their custom robotic projects, demonstrating their newly acquired skills and creative flair. Budding filmmakers and animators will spend their weeks in the captivating world of video production! This camp offers an inspiring journey through the art of stop motion animation experimenting with Claymation, LEGO ® Minifigures, paper cutouts, and more, while learning the intricate process of capturing images frame-by-frame. This hands-on approach produces video in a rapid prototyping style culminating in various shorts from enchanting magic trick illusions to captivating walking character animations to a thrilling 3-part story. Ninjas will develop their own independent projects while also collaborating in teams, fostering teamwork and creative exchange.
