Chess Scholars: Grades K-8

Develop your child’ s intellect through the royal game of chess! Current research has shown a strong link between chess and academic performance in a variety of areas, including mathematics and language arts. Chess has been proven to enhance children’ s motivation, concentration, focus, social skills, and creativity. Each class will consist of a fun, interactive teaching period and guided practice time. Both beginner and experienced players are welcome and will learn under the guidance of an experienced Chess Scholars coach.

Chess Scholars Camp: Grades K-8

Develop your child’ s intellect through the royal game of Chess! This half-day camp is perfect for beginners as well as experienced players. Each day of camp will consist of a fun interactive teaching period, followed by guided practice time, allowing the students to play against one another while being coached by an experienced instructor. The camp session will conclude with a non-elimination tournament.

Illinois Chess Teacher Camp

Learn a new game or sharpen your skills. Open to all experience levels from complete beginners to tournament player. Open to ages 5-14 years old. There is a $ 30 discount on the 2nd sibling registration.

During camp, Ninjas use code to control robots and automate tasks like farming and digging in Minecraft Education Edition ®, transforming tedious jobs into exciting challenges. They’ ll explore fundamental computer science concepts such as loops and functions, using these skills to create awe-inspiring events like spawning hundreds of chickens from the sky! Throughout the week, Ninjas will enjoy a collaborative environment where they can share their achievements and play together in a vibrant, interactive world. This unique blend of creativity and technology encourages teamwork and boosts confidence as they watch their code come to life.

This is the place for budding game developers embark on an exciting journey into the world of Roblox!
