( formally 3 & 4year Old Swim Lessons)

Ozzie Otters Swim School-( formally 5 & Up Swim Lessons)

Pre-Swim New swimmers, first time in lessons Are uncomfortable with the water Are scared to go under water Are 3-4 years old or older with no swim experience

Level 1- Starfish Just starting out but have the basic skills Can go underwater and blow bubbles Can float with assistance Comfortable jumping into the pool with assistance Can be in the water without a lifejacket

Level 2- Turtle Can swim on front and back 5ft unassisted Comfortable floating on their front and back 5 seconds unassisted Can go under water completely Can use a kickboard on their own Will retrieve an object from bottom of pool

Level 3- Lobster Still learning but have passed the basics Can swim freestyle and backstroke 15ft unassisted Can use kickboards unassisted Are able to float on front and back for 10 seconds Can jump into chest deep water unassisted and return to the surface Can tread water for 10 seconds

Level 4- Octopus For more advanced swimmers Can swim rotary breathing freestyle and back for 15 yds Can perform basic breaststroke kick and body motion for 15 yds Can jump into the deep end and resurface Can tread water for 30 seconds Can perform sitting / kneeling dive from side Can float on front and back for 30 seconds

Level 5- Crab For advanced swimmers who can do all strokes and want to work on technique and endurance Can perform Freestyle and backstroke for 25 yds Can perform butterfly and breaststroke for 15 yds Can perform elementary backstroke and side stroke for 15 yds Can perform open turns and racing dive start Can tread water for 1 minute Are able to swim in deep water

Level 6- Shark For advanced swimmers who can do all strokes and want to continue working on technique and endurance Can perform freestyle and backstroke for 50 yds Can perform butterfly and breaststroke for 25 yds Can perform elementary backstroke and side stroke for 25 yds Can perform flip turns and tread water for 2 minutes

Parent Tot Swim Lessons

This program will acquaint your baby with the water through play toys, songs and water games to adjust to the water both physically and mentally. Parents will be in the water with the children to help them become comfortable. Makeup day due to inclement weather is Friday.

( Formally 3 & 4 Year Old Lessons) A little too advanced for Parent Tot Lessons? Not quite ready for Level 1? Our special transitional Pre-Swim lessons will be a perfect fit for you! Parents are encouraged to be in attendance but not necessarily in the water. This will prepare swimmers for Level 1 and beyond. Makeup day due to inclement weather is Friday.
