Amy Clark — Canada. As a teenager in Manitoba, Clark conducted a science-fair research project on radon across the Canadian Interior Plains. She built her own cloud chamber to visualize ionizing radiation and used soil samples from different regions to investigate radon risk and how climate could affect radon prevalence.
