DIRECTOR’ S NOTE
Dear Racquets Fam, May has arrived, and with it comes the perfect season to get out on the courts and elevate your game. As temperatures rise, so does the energy around the racquets program with exciting events and competitive play coming up towards the end of May and into the summer.
We are deep into our spring USTA leagues and continue to see great participation and matches across all divisions. USTA league will continue into the summer with the tri-level summer league kicking off after July 4. The summer league provides a great opportunity to continue matches in a fun and competitive environment.
SHCC middle and high school players are approaching their respective regional and state championships. SH juniors are competing for schools all across the Tulsa area. We look forward to seeing them put the final touches to their games before the championships in the middle of May. Junior Team Tennis is wrapping up for the spring. We hosted four JTT teams this spring with our 10 & under teams finishing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd and our 12 & under team in 1st place with two matches to play.
Pickleball momentum is strong going into the summer months. Men’ s and Women’ s league on Monday and Wednesday nights respectively are great opportunities to play competitive leveled games. We look forward to the next pickleball mixer“ Red, White, & Dink” on Thursday, May 21 from 6:00-8:00pm.
