For nearly eight decades, the Lakeville Chamber of Commerce has been bringing people together with one shared purpose: helping businesses thrive while strengthening the community. Celebrating its 78th year in 2026, the Chamber continues to serve as a trusted advocate, resource, and leader for its members and the greater Lakeville business community.
Representing nearly 600 businesses and organizations, the Lakeville Chamber has grown to become the largest chamber in Dakota County and one of the top 10 chambers in Minnesota. While numbers tell part of the story, the true impact of the Chamber can be seen in the connections created, partnerships built, and opportunities provided to help businesses succeed. The Chamber focuses its work around five key priorities: Advocacy – The Chamber serves as the voice of the business community by building strong relationships with city, school, county, and state leaders. Through these partnerships, the Chamber ensures that businesses have a seat at the table as decisions are made that impact economic growth, workforce, and the future of the community.
Introductions & Involvement – At its core, the Chamber is about connecting people. Through networking events, programs, and community involvement opportunities, the Chamber helps members meet new customers, develop relationships, and become more engaged in the community.
Marketing & Referrals – The Chamber helps businesses increase visibility and reach new audiences through marketing opportunities, sponsorships, referrals, and community resources. The annual community guide serves as a trusted resource for residents and visitors, connecting them with local businesses both in print and online.
Workforce Development – The Chamber is committed to helping businesses find and develop the talent they need to succeed. Through Lakeville Works, a partnership between the Chamber, Lakeville Area Schools, the city of Lakeville and local businesses, students are connected with career exploration opportunities, internships, job shadowing, and pathways to in-demand careers.
Hospitality & Tourism – Through Visit Lakeville, the Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Chamber promotes Lakeville as a destination for visitors, meetings, events, and experiences. Supporting local hospitality businesses and showcasing area attractions, events, restaurants, lodging, and amenities helps bring visitors to Lakeville and supports economic vitality.
Beyond business services, the Chamber invests in leadership and community development. Leadership Lakeville, a nine-month program developed by the Chamber and the City of Lakeville Economic Development Department, develops informed and engaged community leaders through education, coaching, networking, and hands-on experiences that showcase the many facets of the Lakeville area.
