NANA

Connecting shareholders with opportunities

Meet NANA North Recruiter Lisa Nalikak

Lisa Nalikak is a NANA shareholder raised in Kiana and Utqiaġvik. She is the daughter of Margie Smith, and her grandparents are Donald and Dolly Smith from Kiana. " My grandparents are at the center of who I am," says Lisa. " They taught me the value of hard work, perseverance, resilience, respect, and kinship."

As both a shareholder and recruiter, Lisa approaches her work with an understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing NANA’ s people. She emphasizes that her mission goes beyond simply placing individuals in jobs; it’ s about helping to create pathways for growth, stability, and prosperity.
" I understand firsthand how important opportunity is for our people," Lisa explains. " Helping connect shareholders to roles where they can grow and succeed feels purposeful. It is rewarding to know that the work we do has a direct impact on families and our communities."
Lisa also appreciates the strong sense of connection she feels within NANA and is grateful for the spirit of collaboration and dedication across the team.
Outside the office, family is the foundation of Lisa’ s life. This year, she and her high school sweetheart, Uriah Nalikak, will celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary. Together, they have five children: Alyssa, Kendra, Gabriel, Harley, and Silas. Spending time with her family is an important part of Lisa’ s life, whether it’ s fishing, camping, or gathering around the table for a meal at home.
NANA is grateful for Lisa Nalikak’ s dedication and the positive impact she makes every day. Her commitment, along with the efforts of the entire recruiting team, plays an important role in advancing our mission to improve the quality of life for shareholders.
