Turner’ s team approached the prototype with the same rigor they apply to permanent construction projects, implementing detailed safety planning, logistics coordination, engineering reviews, and permitting. Projects such as this help establish confidence throughout the industry.“ We need to build that database and show people that it is safe and shift that standard of care, shift that culture, to a new societal standard,” Murray said.
Unlike traditional demonstration structures, every component of the prototype was designed to be dismantled rather than discarded. After the conference concluded, the exhibit was carefully deconstructed, leaving virtually no waste behind and allowing the structure to be rebuilt at future events.
“ The biggest challenge today is changing the way we think about building. And so we wanted to build something that was physical, real, because people are quite pragmatic, and seeing is believing.”

Locally sourced wood benches fabricated from reclaimed urban trees further reinforced a philosophy that prioritizes reuse, while also showcasing the value of regional supply chains and biogenic carbon storage.
As the industry continues to respond to climate challenges, projects such as Reframing the Future suggest that meaningful progress will come, not from a single breakthrough, but from collective action.
