Tribute to Rose Williams

On November 6, 2025 the Georgia Department of Corrections, in conjunction with the Board of Corrections, had the honor of presenting Ms. Rose Williams with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Ms. Williams has dedicated 34 years of service to the agency and has been an esteemed member of the Board for 17 years. We extend our sincere appreciation for her contributions and her commitment to the department and its staff.
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved board member, Rose Williams, on December 22, 2025. Rose selflessly served our agency for 51 years, and her dedication, vision, and unwavering commitment to our mission have had a profound impact on both our organization and the community. Her legacy will continue to live on through the countless lives she touched.
As we mourn this significant loss, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Ms. Williams’ family and loved ones.
