Stop by our pop-up tasting to sample a variety of simanim and learn the hopes and blessings each one represents. Whether this tradition is familiar or completely new to you, you’ ll leave with a deeper appreciation for the richness and diversity of Jewish life. Stitch. Schmooze. Connect. Bring your knitting, crochet, embroidery, needlepoint, weaving, or any portable fiber arts project and join us every Monday morning for creativity and conversation. Yarn Yentas is a relaxed, welcoming meetup for adults who enjoy crafting and connecting. There’ s no instructor or formal class— just good company, great conversation, and a chance to work on your latest project alongside fellow makers. Whether you’ re picking up your needles for the first time or have been crafting for years, you’ ll find a warm community waiting for you. Please bring your own project and supplies. All experience levels are welcome.

Tashlich Meet-Up Hike at Belle Isle

Welcome the Jewish New Year in nature with a meaningful hike and Tashlich ritual along the James River. Whether this is a yearly tradition or completely new to you, all are welcome to walk, reflect, and connect. Afterward, stick around for a casual community picnic— bring your own dinner, snacks, or something to share. Please wear comfortable walking shoes, bring water, and note that this outdoor program includes walking on uneven terrain.

Shake, Sukkah n’ Schmooze
