Peszneker said.“ Take two of the top three players off anyone else’ s team, and see how they do. With Alex and Carolyn out of our lineup, there will be opportunities for other players. We are even younger than we were last season. Hopefully, we will be able to find our footing.”
At this point, Lauren Craig is the only senior on Wayzata’ s varsity.“ In the 37 years I have coached Wayzata, we have never had a situation like this before,” coach Peszneker said.
Looking at the Lake Conference, Edina appears to have the most returning personnel. St. Michael-Albertville, the

team that placed third last season, also has key players returning.
Edina will play a single round-robin schedule in the Lake Conference with games against Wayzata, St. Michael-Albertville, Buffalo, Hopkins, Minnetonka, Maple Grove and Eden Prairie.
Minnetonka and Eden Prairie might also be among Edina’ s opponents in the Section 2AAA Tournament.
Edina opened Lake play against Buffalo Sept. 1 at Kuhlman Field. Next is a game Friday, Sept. 4, at Maple Grove. Other Lake dates pit the Hornets against Wayzata Sept. 8, Hopkins Sept. 10, Eden Prairie Sept. 16, St. Michael-Albertville Sept. 22 and Minnetonka Sept. 24.
