Next Steps
Next Steps
The 2026 Community Health Needs Assessment provides a roadmap for community health improvement efforts from 2027 through 2029. The priorities identified through this assessment will inform future investments, partnerships, and strategies designed to improve health outcomes and address the most significant health needs facing the community. The following steps are planned:
Implementation Strategy Development
Renown Health will develop a detailed Implementation Strategy that identifies specific programs, strategies, partnerships, and metrics aligned with the Significant Health Needs identified in this report. Northern Nevada Public Health will also develop a Community Health Improvement Plan( CHIP) aligned with these priorities.
Board Adoption
The Implementation Strategy & Plan will be presented to the Renown Health Board of Directors for formal adoption within the timeframe required by IRS Section 501( r)( 3). Northern Nevada Public Health ' s Community Health Improvement Plan( CHIP) will be formally adopted by The District Board of Health.
Public Availability
This CHNA report and the subsequent Implementation Strategy will be made publicly available on the Renown Health website, on the Northern Nevada Public Health website, on Truckee Meadows Tomorrow’ s website, and through the Truckee Meadows Tomorrow community health dashboard, which will host community health indicators for public access and transparency.
Community Dissemination
Renown Health and Northern Nevada Public Health will share key findings with community partners, stakeholders, and residents through town halls, partner briefings, and community events. Northern Nevada Public Health will utilize the Nevada Tomorrow platform to disseminate findings and track progress through the Community Health Improvement Plan( CHIP). Community partners are invited to submit desired community health headlines for the next three years via the Nevada Tomorrow platform to inform CHIP and Implementation Plan priorities. A second phase of community input will be conducted to invite additional participation before Implementation Strategy finalization.
CHIP and Implementation Alignment
Renown Health and Northern Nevada Public Health will coordinate their Community Health Improvement Plan and Implementation Strategy to reduce duplication, align funding, and maximize community benefit. Indicators presented through this CHNA will be integrated into a Community Health Assessment Dashboard hosted by Truckee Meadows Tomorrow to support ongoing public accountability and transparency.
Ongoing Monitoring and Evaluation
Progress against Implementation Strategy goals will be monitored annually, with formal evaluation reports integrated into the next CHNA cycle. Northern Nevada Public Health will produce an annual community health report to track progress against CHIP priorities and share findings with the public and the District Board of Health.
