Health Equity Implications
Early detection disparities are stark. Among American Indian / Alaska Native female Medicare enrollees, only 13 % received a mammogram in the past year( vs. 46 % overall). Black / African American infants and children are about one-third less likely than the overall county population to receive the CDC-recommended seven-vaccine series. Flu vaccination rates are lowest among Hispanic( 28 %) and Black / African American( 32 %) Medicare enrollees.
