Figure 8 illustrates how the median income in Washoe County differs by race and ethnicity. For example, the county’ s American Indian / Alaskan Native and Black / African American populations each have a lower median household income than all other racial / ethnic groups and are approximately $ 25,000 lower than the county’ s overall median income.
