Dear Washoe County Community Members and Leaders,
The health of our region depends on how thoughtfully we listen and how intentionally we act. Renown Health and Northern Nevada Public Health are proud to present this 2026 Community Health Assessment, a comprehensive and data-driven reflection of the needs, strengths, and opportunities across Washoe County, Nevada.
This report represents the combined efforts of public health leadership and clinical expertise, grounded in both quantitative data and the lived experiences of members of our community. Through broad engagement and careful analysis, this report identifies health disparities, examines root causes, and highlights opportunities to improve well-being for individuals and families throughout our region.
The findings outlined in this report serve as a foundation for coordinated action across Washoe County, aligning priorities, resources, and strategies to address the most pressing health needs. Together, as the region’ s not-for-profit academic health system and public health authority, we are committed to advancing prevention, expanding access to high quality care, and ensuring our collective efforts lead to measurable and lasting impact through transparency and shared accountability.
