NOTE
� The system can be armed even if the windows are open. Always make sure that they are fully closed before arming the system. � If any of the following actions is done during the standby period, the system will not switch to the surveillance state.- Doors( including the trunk lid) are unlocked.- Any door( including the engine hood) is opened.- Push-button ignition switch is turned to the“ ACC” position
■ Disarming the System
Perform either of the following procedures.
� Briefly press unlock button( for less than 2 seconds) on the access key fob.
� Carry the access key fob and perform either of the following procedures.
- Grip the door handle.- Press the trunk opener button- Unlock using the PIN code access.
The flashing of the security indicator light will blinks slowly( once approximately every 3 seconds), indicating that the alarm system has been disarmed. ▼ Emergency disarming
If you cannot disarm the system using the access key fob, you can disarm the system without using the access key fob.
The system can be disarmed if you turn the ignition switch from the“ OFF” position to the“ ON” position. NOTE
If the access key fob battery is discharged, perform the procedure described in " Switching Power Status " �P322. In such a case, replace the battery immediately. Refer to " Replacing Battery of Access Key Fob " �P375. ■ Alarm System Setting
To change the setting of your vehicle’ s alarm system for activation or deactivation, do the following.
1. Disarm the alarm system. Refer to " Disarming the System " �P118.
2. Sit in the driver’ s seat and shut all doors.
3. Turn the ignition switch to the“ ON” position.
