VERITAS ACADEMY
Veritas Academy offers nonpublic education for Pre-kindgerten through 12th grade. Pre-K students at 34888 Kable Ave, North Branch, MN 55056. K-12th grade located at 11723 Stinson Ave, Chisago City, MN 55013. The Academy opened in the fall of 2015.
Veritas Academy is committed to helping students reach their full potential in a nurturing and safe school. Veritas put that commitment into practice by earning accreditation from the Minnesota Nonpublic School Accrediting Association( MNSAA).
The school maintains small class sizes for increased learning with a maximum of 8 students per class. The school teaches Latin and exposes students to the great books of Western civilization.
Accreditation means that:

CHECK OUT THE LOCAL LIBRARY
Built in 2005, the North Branch Area Library is a part of the East Central Regional Library system and allows people to read, watch, listen and learn for free. Patrons can check out print and eBooks, eAudiobooks, music CDs, online magazines, back issues of print magazines, DVDs, books on CD, as a well as kits that include puzzles, games, storytime activities, fitness equipment, and more!
Residents can get a free library card by showing one form of photo identification and proof of their current address. Library patrons must have a card to borrow items and access the computers, and wireless internet is accessible for all. Other equipment available for public use includes a copier, microfilm reader / printer and fax machine. Scan to email from any copy machine, or print using a laptop or mobile device to any branch library.
Adults and children find activities to interest them, including preschool story times, a summer reading program and book-discussion groups. View upcoming programs by visiting the online Events Calendar at ecrlib. org.
A community room that accommodates up to 90 people and includes tables and chairs is available for rent. Anyone interested in reserving the space should visit or call the library during business hours.
The all-volunteer non-profit organization Friends of the North Branch Library supports the local facility by focusing public attention on its needs and raising funds to operate programs and provide library furnishings. The Friends welcome new members interested in advocating for the local library.
