withdrawn from the program of study will need to submit an online application for readmission. All applications for readmission will be reviewed and approved by the readmissions committee, including the College Dean.
Non-Matriculated Students
Non-matriculated students may take up to 9 credits of coursework on a part-time basis at Gwynedd Mercy University. After completing 9 credits, students should contact the Admissions Office for information about applying to a degree program. If the student does not intend, at any time, to work toward a degree, the admission requirement will be waived. Students who intend to matriculate in health professions, business, or nursing programs should apply as soon as possible but are required to do so once they have earned 9 credits. This does not include students who are enrolled in a dual-credit course in high school through Gwynedd Mercy University. This policy also does not include students who are in pre-requisite programs for the MS in Speech Language Pathology or the pre-requisites for the Accelerated BSN or Weekend BSN.
Visiting
Students
Students who enroll in classes for credit with the intention of transferring those credits to another institution in which they are regularly enrolled are classified as non-matriculated students.
ADMISSIONS: GRADUATE PROGRAMS
Once a student’ s application file is complete, the Admissions team and Program Director make an admissions decision based on University admissions standards and any specific requirements of the applicant’ s intended program of study. The student is notified of the decision as soon as possible after all application materials have been submitted and a thorough review has taken place.
Admissions requirements include:
• A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
• A minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher Candidates with a GPA lower than 3.0 will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
• A completed application for your program of choice
• Official transcripts from every college or university attended
• Professional resume
• Two complete supervisory reference forms
• Personal interviews may be required, as needed Some programs may have additional requirements. Please consult the requirements listed within your program of interest for additional information.
Conditional Acceptance
Graduate students may be conditionally admitted to their intended degree program, pending the completion of specific requirements as outlined in their conditional acceptance letter. This option is generally reserved for students who do not meet the program’ s minimum GPA requirements and must earn a grade of B or better in specified courses prior to being fully admitted to the program.
