Primary Care IV-Adolescent( 12-18yo) |
This course provides students with the theoretical base to assess, diagnose and manage the primary care of the adolescent( 12-18-year-old) population. Course content includes the principles of health promotion, disease prevention, and management of common primary health care problems in the diverse adolescent( 12-18-yearold) populations. Emphasis is placed on the diagnosis and management of acute episodic and chronic conditions of the adolescent( 12-18-year-old) in the context of the primary care setting and community. Evidenced based practice is utilized as the basis for primary care management and decision-making including diagnosis, appropriate diagnostic procedures, laboratory tests, and follow up care.
