Technology is growing at a rapid pace and, unfortunately, most devices with connectivity capabilities are developed and marketed too hastily. Security is an afterthought, if it is even considered at all. This course will introduce students to the interdisciplinary field of cybersecurity. By examining current and emerging technologies and events through selected readings, students will explore the vulnerabilities and risks these technologies introduce into our lives. Topics include the Internet of things( IoT), cybercrime, cyberwarfare, and cyberterrorism. |
