Principles of Marketing, followed by required courses in Integrated Marketing Communications, Consumer / Buyer Behavior, and Digital Marketing & Applied Strategy. Students also complete one elective from areas such as CRM, professional selling, social media marketing, strategic market management, or market research.
This minor prepares students to analyze consumer behavior, develop and communicate marketing strategies, and apply digital and traditional marketing tools in a variety of professional settings. Graduates are equipped to support brand development, customer engagement, and strategic growth across industries.
Program Student Learning Outcomes: Students who complete the Minor in Marketing will be able to: PLO1 Demonstrate understanding of core marketing concepts and their role in organizational success. PLO2 Analyze consumer behavior and apply insights to marketing and business decisions. PLO3 Apply integrated marketing communication principles across traditional and digital channels. PLO4 Evaluate the role of digital and social media in engaging target audiences. PLO5 Communicate marketing ideas and strategies effectively in professional contexts.

Internal / External Transfers: Admissions requirements for external transfer students are the same as the University. Internal transfers should contact program chair.
Academic Standards / Grade Requirements: Students must earn a grade of“ C” or higher in all required courses in order for the course to count toward completion of the minor.
Academic Progress, Probation, and Program Dismissal: Students must successfully complete all required courses in the program. A student who fails a required course may repeat the course once. If a student fails the same required course twice, the student may be dismissed from the program. All other academic progress and probation policies follow University guidelines.
Attendance: Regular class attendance is necessary for the attainment of satisfactory performance in university work and is the responsibility of each student. Requirements for class attendance within any course are at the discretion of the faculty member responsible for the course. Attendance is always required on the first day of each course.
