Gentle Yoga

A slower paced yoga class for older adults using yoga poses to maintain health and slow down the effects of aging. The poses and breath control promote wellness for mind, body, and spirit. The benefits include increased energy, improved balance, flexibility, joint stability, and an overall sense of well-being. Warm-up done seated on a chair and standing poses include chair access for balance. Cool down avoids any poses on the knees and belly. Please bring a yoga mat and towel for support under your head.

Heart Saver CPR / AED

Taught by the members of the Hinsdale Fire Department, this course is for people with little to no medical training and teaches how to perform CPR, use an AED, and provide first aid. It covers topics such as medical, injury, and environmental emergencies. Upon completion, participants will receive an American Heart Association( AHA) Certificate.

Adult Ninjas

Working off an integrated curriculum / structure, this class is appropriate for the beginner and advanced participant … it’ s all about progression in each obstacle and each individual putting themselves to the test week after week. Class will include some of our beginner, intermediate, and most challenging obstacles aimed at building strength, balance, and agility. Class will typically include three circuits with five to eight stations( obstacles) per circuit.

NEW • Adult Beginner Pickleball

This class is for those who have never played pickleball before or who have very limited experience with the sport. It will focus on pickleball basics such as forehand and backhand shots, serving, and court positioning. Players will also learn scoring and the rules of the game through drills and playing time. The slower pace of this class will give players the opportunity to develop the skills needed to play this fun and energetic game. All equipment will be provided.

NEW • Adult Advanced Beginner Pickleball

This class is for advancing beginners who have some experience and want to move at a faster pace to improve their basic shots and strategy. Players will participate in challenging drills to work on consistency in forehand and backhand shots, serving, volleying, dinks and lobs. Through matches played each week, players will get the chance to take their game to the next level by learning how to play smarter, not harder. All equipment will be provided.
