Driving Operational Excellence Through Streamlined Provider Onboarding
Rapid provider onboarding, enabled by efficient credentialing, has a significant operational impact. It reduces delays in patient access to care, enhances provider satisfaction, and accelerates revenue generation. Streamlined credentialing facilitates faster payer enrollment, allowing organizations to begin billing sooner and avoid revenue interruptions. In turn, this efficiency supports higher provider retention and contributes to building a stronger, more diverse provider network.
Expanding Onboarding Programs
The percentage of organizations that have an onboarding program for new providers has increased from 82 % in 2020 to 85 % in 2025.
This percentage dipped to 77 % in 2021, possibly due to the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent reductions in staffing resources. The upward trend is a positive one, but there is still room for improvement
