Seth Olson

Seth decided to take a science class his senior year of high school and took two math classes as well. One of these classes was an AP Calculus course. Seth was able to tackle these, and all of his other classes with great determination and a will to succeed. Because of this, he was also blessed with the ability to help his friends if need be and enjoyed doing it. Seth participated in the LINK program which helps students with coursework and get them back to where they need to be in order to be successful in high school. Seth also was a math tutor for 8th grade students alongside the LINK program. Seth was on the senior all-star team for about 20 minutes as well.

During her senior year, Brooke took AP Calculus through Zimmerman High School while taking multiple PSEO classes through the University of Minnesota. She was part of the National Honors Society and she worked as a dietary aid at Fremont Village Senior Living throughout the year.

special? Seth’ s most memorable high school experience was his senior prom. It was special to him because he felt truly valued by his friends and other peers and had an absolute blast. He had a lot more fun than he originally thought he would. Prom also landed on his birthday, so it not only was his senior prom, but it was also like a very large birthday party to him as well.
3. What are your plans for the future?
Seth plans on attending Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, MN. Through an online program, he will be studying for a bachelor’ s degree in accounting.

Brooke plans to major in biology at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. After she earns her bachelor’ s degree, she plans on getting her PharmD( Doctor of Pharmacy).
Asher Kraabel

Trevor Kraabel Town: Zimmerman 1. Highlight your involvement in high school classes and extracurricular activities this past year.
Asher graduated from the Anoka-Ramsey Community College on May 16th with 77 credits, covering his AA degree in an excess of 17. Despite being a full-time PSEO student, Asher stayed in the ZHS Wind Symphony, with this year being his first as the trumpet section leader.
Asher is involved in many extracurriculars, including summer and winter marching band, music lessons, Pit Orchestra, Jazz Band, Tri-M Music Honor Society, NHS, Art Club, Book Club, Phi Theta Kappa, and the ARCC Sustainability Club. In marching band, he is the mellophone section leader and helps load and unload the equipment trailer. He is also the president of the Art Club and the trumpet section leader in Jazz Band and Pit Orchestra.

Mississippi 8 Honor Choir, Cantabile Choir, Mississippi 8 Sectional Superior Soloist and choral member.
2. What was your most memorable high school experience? Why was it special?
Olivia’ s most memorable high school experience was being involved in Zimmerman’ s Choral Music Program. Being able to sing with her friends and peers, and go off to sing and compete in sectional conferences for Zimmerman High School made her senior year amazingly special.

Asher’ s most memorable experience from high school was his friend’ s last marching band show before leaving for Basic Training. This show had a particular attention to detail from everyone, and his friend had a meaningful conversation with them all on the way home. His friend is currently doing well and serving with the Minnesota National Guard!
3. What are your plans for the future?
Asher plans to attend the University of St. Thomas and earn his Master’ s in Civil Engineering. After college, he intends to move to the Duluth area and become an environmental engineer.

Lindsay Peters

Peters Town: Big Lake 1. Highlight your involvement in high school classes and extracurricular activities this past year.
Lindsay was the Senior Class President, HOSA-Future Health Professionals chapter President, and the Student Council Co-President this past year. Lindsay also participated in Cross Country, Nordic Skiing, and Track and Field. She has taken multiple AP, PSEO, and CIS classes. Lindsay has also taken two years of PLTW Biomedical science classes, so she will graduate high school with Medical Honors.

Riley Hanson

Hanson Town: Zimmerman 1. Highlight your involvement in high school classes and extracurricular activities this past year.
Riley has taken several art classes and has excelled in each. This year she took AP Literature and Composition as well as College Spanish. Riley is also a member of the National Honor Society and has participated in the Zimmerman Drama department for all three of this year’ s productions. She has also spent time outside of school to tutor younger kids. Riley is an active member of each class and activity, balancing both academics and extracurriculars all while maintaining her grades.

Lindsay plans on attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison and majoring in Genetics and Genomics and minoring in Spanish.
been working in the costumes department, though she has also been an active member in other ways. This year she took on the role of Treasurer for the Drama Council. In theater Riley has been a mentor and leader to countless students, always willing to help and make new friends. Through theater she has learned the importance of being part of a community.
3. What are your plans for the future?
Riley will be attending the University of Wisconsin Stout in the fall and majoring in Interior Design with a minor in both Architecture and Spanish.
