2025 POTTAWATOMI GATHERING
Welcome to the 2025 Pottawatomi Gathering
Bozho Pottawatomi Relatives,
On behalf of the Match-E-Be-Nash-She-Wish Band of Pottawatomi( Gun Lake Tribe) and our Tribal Council, it is my genuine pleasure to welcome you to this year’ s Pottawatomi Gathering, taking place on our Tribal trust lands in mid-Michigan.
We’ re delighted to have you back. Whether this is the tenth Gathering you’ ve attended or your first, your presence means a great deal to us and is the continuation of a tradition going back more than 30 years. In honor of the vision set forth by our Elders, we, your hosts, have thoughtfully designed activities, teachings and celebrations designed to inspire collaboration, celebrate and reinforce our shared culture, foster new relationships and allow us to remember and preserve our Pottawatomi ways for the next seven generations.
Please enjoy our facilities and amenities during the week, from Camp Jijak and our administrative campus to some of our other Tribal enterprises, including the Noonday Market and our new food venues Which Wich and Paciugo Gelato. There will also be a wealth of entertainment and activities at Gun Lake Casino Resort, boasting 250 deluxe rooms, 2,300 slot machines, several scrumptious dining options, and the Wawyé Oasis – where it’ s always a warm 75 degrees with two pools, a swim-up bar and the main event stage.
Throughout this week, you’ ll have opportunities to connect with fellow attendees, participate in engaging educational and information-sharing sessions, and hear from inspiring presenters and teachers. Our entire Gun Lake Team is here to ensure your experience is smooth and enjoyable— don’ t hesitate to reach out if you need anything. Just look for someone in the orange T-shirts that say“ volunteer.”
