Runners, on your mark for a jog around Lake Marion and beyond
The annual Pan-O-Prog Run in Lakeville will take place on Saturday, July 12, around the west side of Lake Marion, 19720 Juno Trail, featuring a one-mile race, a four-mile race and a Fun Run for kids.
The event is hosted by the Lakeville Parks and Recreation Department.
“ We are thrilled to offer this exciting running race as part of the Pan-O-Prog festivities,” said Kacie Robinson, the Lakeville Parks and Recreation program coordinator.“ This is a great opportunity for runners of all ages and skill levels to enjoy the beautiful scenery around Lake Marion and
challenge themselves in a friendly race environment. Racers are encouraged to sign up early and join us for this unforgettable event.”
Participants will have the opportunity to compete in categories divided by age, gender and race length.
The age categories are as follows: 9 and under, 10-11, 12-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over.
The results of the race will be available online after the event, allowing participants to track their progress and share their achievements with friends and family.
Registration for the 1-mile and 4- mile races is $ 22 when registered by July 10 or prior. Day-of registration is $ 25.
Participants are encouraged to register in advance to secure their spot.
Participants who wish to run both races can do so for an additional $ 10.

Race start times are 4 mile at 7:45 a. m., 1-mile: at 8:45 a. m. and the free Kids Fun Run at 8:30 a. m.
