Lakeville Pan-O-Prog has something for everyone

The 58th annual Lakeville Panorama of Progress is filled with new additions to tried-and-true favorite community celebrations.
Between July 5-13, Lakeville community members can enjoy everything from market shopping and art, tailgates and contests, to the grand parade and live music. To help organize the schedule for a personalized Pan- O-Prog experience, Sun Thisweek has assembled the events into categories.
New this year
This year, shoppers will have additional opportunities to explore local businesses and crafts at the BOHO Marketplace, now at the new Allina Health Pavilion Rink at Hasse Arena from July 12-13, 10 a. m. to 5 p. m.
Families can gather to connect over food at the Family Tailgate, which will now be held at Casperson Park on July 8 from 5-8 p. m.
“ Pan-O-Prog remains a cherished tradition for longtime Lakeville residents and a vibrant introduction to the community for newcomers,” said Krista Jech, the Pan-O-Prog director of marketing.“ Each year, the festival grows and evolves with new events inspired by current trends and resident feedback— offering something for everyone to enjoy throughout the week.”
Two other new events are focused on the big rigs.
The Historic Fire Truck Display will be 6-9 p. m. Thursday, July 10, in downtown Lakeville.
The Minnesota Fire Engine club will have the display on Holyoke Avenue.
The following day Touch-A-Truck will be 1-5 p. m. downtown with big machines of all varieties.
The International aBazaar will have multicultural vendors and food trucks outside 9 a. m. to 9 p. m. July 12 and and 10 a. m. to 5 p. m. July 13 at Phoenix Hall in downtown Lakeville.

The Pan-O-Prog Grand Parade will feature many community groups and the Shriners Horsemen. The annual event typically draws thousands of people to the community on Saturday. More information is at panoprog. org.
