MIDRASH IN THE WILDERNESS: MIRIAM & AARON ' S CONFLICT WITH MOSES

During the Hebrews ' wilderness journey, Miriam and Aaron accost Moses, complaining that he doesn ' t honor their prophecy and that they are upset by his marriage. Miriam alone is punished for this confrontation and sent out into the desert alone. What are the roots of this conflict? What ' s wrong with Moses ' marriage? Is Miriam ' s exile a punishment, or her own personal Sinai? Come and engage in a process of study and midrash-writing where we imagine the possible answers to these questions.
