GREEN BAY LIVE Challenges

COLLEGE OF BUSINESS Student capacity : Minimum 4 , Maximum 12
The goal of the “ Big Idea ” is to develop a “ Start Up ” Business and present the idea / opportunity to a group of investors to secure funding for the project ( as with Shark Tank ). Students may decide to enhance the benefits of an existing product / service or develop a “ new to the world ” idea – the participants must convince the “ Investors ” why the product / service is a worthy investment and / or why the product / service is more appealing to customers that anything that is currently available including the other contestants .
Phase One - Research and Development : Participants will create a Business Plan for the product / service - a template / “ pitch deck ” will be provided to guide students through the process . A mentor ( the instructor ) will assist with the Business Plan development .
Phase Two - The Presentation : Students will present the proposal to a panel of investors using a power point , posters , video , handouts , demonstration etc . Whatever it takes for students to convince the Investors that their respective idea is better than the competitor ’ s products . After all the presentations are completed , the Investors will rate the presentations and offer comments prior to declaring the “ winning ” idea .
