Established in 1869 , North Branch Township is in Isanti County and has a population of 1,737 . Three board supervisors govern the town and meet at 7 p . m . the first Thursday of each month at the Town Hall . Supervisors include Ron Pederson , Dean Beenken and John Nordrum , and other officials are Town Clerk Shawn Williams ( email : shawnw @ twp . northbranch . mn . us ) and Treasurer Bonnie Mettling . Town hall is where residents go to vote in general elections .

Oxford Township sits in Isanti County with a population of about 911 people . Its three-member board of supervisors meets 7:30 p . m . the second Tuesday of each month at the Town Hall . Current supervisors include Chilton ( Sandy ) Hagan , Harlan Bellin and Michael Miller , and other elected officials are Treasurer Peggy Nelson and Clerk Linnea Lentz .
Oxford Township was one of five winners in the township category for the 2017 Local Government Innovation awards for its water monitoring project . The township received the award at the LGIA 2017 Ceremony on Dec . 7 , 2017 at the Humphrey School . In 2016 , Oxford Township took a proactive approach to manage and protect the health of the township ’ s seven shallow water lakes . The township reached out the Isanti Soil and Water Conservation District ( SWCD ) to collaborate on a 10- year plan that includes monitoring and tracking surface water data collection , vegetation and shoreline surveys and environmental conditions . As a result , the township can review the area ’ s inevitable development plans and make decisions within the best interests of their local resources .
Inside the Township is Anderson County Park at 27201 Furman St . NE that features a large log picnic shelter , rain gardens and a native-flower walk .

Welcome to the City of Harris , nestled in the heart of Chisago County , where our 1,132 residents take pride in preserving the city ’ s open spaces , natural features , and rural charm while embracing controlled and thoughtful growth .
One of our beloved traditions is the Harris Farmers Market , held every Sunday from 11 a . m . to 3 p . m ., from June through October . Here , you will find a bounty of local produce , plants , flowers , honey , wool / yarn , crafts , and many other unique items . Additionally , our Harris Club hosts an exciting City Festival on the last weekend of July , featuring activities such as “ Touch a Truck ,” games for kids at the Ball Field , Bingo , a silent auction , a Car Show , a street dance , and a variety of vendors and food trucks .
Accessibility is one of our strengths , thanks to I-35 , which connects us to a range of local churches and businesses , including a gas station and convenience store , auto-repair shops , a bait shop , and the beloved hometown diner .
The city is governed by a five-member City Council , including Mayor Randy Carlson , and Councilmembers Craig Moline , Chell Borash , Garret Pearson , and Al Siedow . The Council meets at 7 p . m . on the second Monday of each month at City Hall . Our City Clerk , Shannon Geier , and Treasurer , Sue Riesing , ensure smooth operations , while we rely on PeopleService for water and wastewater management .
Our community is also fortunate to have the Harris Fire Department , staffed by volunteers who bring courage , dedication , and a strong work ethic to their roles . We always welcome new applicants to join this honorable team .
Police protection and law enforcement services are provided by the Chisago County Sheriff ’ s Office , ensuring our community remains safe and secure .
Our municipal parks are a source of pride , offering residents and visitors beautiful recreational spaces . Schoolhouse Park on County Road 9 and Stark Ballfield on County Road 10 are equipped with restrooms , a pavilion , and grills . Fireman ’ s Park on 440th , located along Goose Creek , provides a more rustic setting .
